Rivals update?

Does anyone know when rivals is scheduled to update their rankings? Do you see any of our current commits cross, santos getting a bump?

doubtful. I think everyone of our commits that were close to being bumped, were bumped last time around.

I think there is something that Rivals doesn't like about Santos' game, and will keep him from getting bumped. Either way I am pumped that Santos is committed.

If Santos was commited to Alabama,Texas or Florida he would probaly be a 5* player

Rivals will update after the HS season is over. It's possible that a commit or two gets a star bump. If any of our current commits did get a bump they would likely be Santos or Cross, IMO.

I hope Santos gets that 4th star! It will make him so much better than if he stays a 3 star!!

I wouldn't be surprised to see one the following get a bump, but probably won't. I bet Peters gets a serious bump in position ratings though.

Cross and Santos should and have a legit chance by NSD IMO...it all depends on when and if Rivals re-evaluates them

Rankings will be updated in late November I believe. IMO none of our current commits get a bump.

Does anyone think Peterman goes to 5.9 or 6.0? He is getting rave reviews from fla varsity, #1 qb in fla now! That has to constitute for something!

Not sure about 5.9 or 6.0, but I think a move into the R250 is in his future.

before santos was committed to UT i had a talk with Brian Perroni, the rivals recruiting analyst for Texas and parts of the midlands, and he told me that the two main reasons Santos didnt get a bump was because in Texas, recruits dont have many chances to impress people with the few amounts of 7on7's we have. also he told me that he isnt sure if Santos would be a ILB or a DE. I think he will be a ILB but i could see him being spun down to DE. the kid is massive.

I didn’t mean to imply that star rating makes the player. In many cases it does, but at the same time we’ve all seen under and over rated player throughout the years. I personally just enjoy following Tennessee recruiting and part of that is keeping up with the way various sites rate our commits. IMO Dooley and the staff are doing a great job selling the program to the recruits and getting these guys to commit despite the fact that our program is struggling right now. I’m excited about the future and truly believe we have the right guy to lead us back to the top of the SEC. GO VOLS!!!!!!!

Perroni has stated multiple times that Santos is a 3 * because he is too big and he thinks he will be playing college ball with his hand on the ground. I don't know why that necessarily means that you are a 3* talent vs a 4, but I guess, since he can't be evaluated as a DE currently, that's what it means to Perroni.

I think Cody should be bumped to a low 3*, like Devrin was last year, but I doubt it happens.

I'm just now getting into recruiting so I'm behind. I just looked at Rivals team rankings and we are at 13 with it being updated today. Is this where we were at or did we get moved up? Don't know if any recruits stars got changed either.

We've been at 13 for a few weeks. The Rivals rankings update automatically every morning, if I'm not mistaken.
