No, UF is obviously fully capable of competing in the SEC. But you drag down the conference reputation by playing teams that you have no business even talking to. At the end of the season we "could" miss a BCS bid because you played Western Kentucky which will hurt UT's computer ranking. At least UF should man up and play real teams outside the SEC and FSU - for the sake of the conference.

That comment is utterly ridiculous. Florida does not bring down the reputation of the SEC and once again your absurdly wild attack on the Gators proves you have no objectivity.

And if I were a UT fan and was worried about getting a BCS bid, the last thing on my mind would be UF's strength of schedule. I'd start by worring about winning the SECE and then the SECCG.

Last year, that was definitely true. I am very much on the fence about FSU this year. They could be a sleeping giant. They may also continue their downward spiral. The new coaching staff cannot possibly do anything other than help. but they haven't lit up the board recruiting-wise quite like they used to and it is starting to show.

FSU has pulled in plenty of top shelf talent. They've had some insane number like 12 guys drafted in the first round the past three years. Those guys were mostly on defense. The offense has been weak. The problem was quite clearly Jeff Bowden. They've replaced him with one of the better OC's in the nation. He'll work wonders with Drew Weatherford and Xavier Lee.

kind of the same thing that happened up here. Defense was solid, offense not so. change made at the OC, see what happens.

Lee is an interesting player. Tons of athletic abillity, but his decision-making was horrific.

I may be wrong, but I perceive there to be a LOT of racial tension on that team. It dates back a ways, IMO. And as between Weatherford and Lee, it might really blow up this year.

that simply may be the dumbest thing i've ever read.

So you don't think your opponents' schedule is important to your BCS point total?

Far fetched, maybe (that's why I used quotes), but the not the dumbest. Fact is, Florida's nonconference schedule is a disgrace.

FSU, with all of their problems, earns significantly more style points for us than Cal does for you.

Our schedule should rank #1 hardest. Just another example of media bias against the Crimson Tide.
How is the media biased against Crimson Tide? Because they covered you guys cheating? All they've done is suck up to Nick Saban sinced you guys announced him. You guys are getting so much coverage is ridiculous.

disagree. not that FSU historically hasn't been good or that that game hasn't been good for both teams' OOC schedule. but you play them every year. it's basically like a conf. game in that regard.

TN/Cal...there's some novelty there, you don't necessarily know what to expect. the high octane offense of Jeff Tefford against TN, an SEC speed/physical Defense.....

with FSU and FL, you know what you are going to get year in and year out.........not that there's anything wrong with that.:)
