Yea same here big loss to Baseball and one of the legends of the game from the classic era of Baseball. He was the true Home run king IMO and still is. RIP Hank

In the 80's and early 90's I tried to score as many Hank Aaron and his era baseball cards as possible. I have a decent collection of him, Mantle, Cobb, and the like.

actually was at game on assignment
my boss did main story and i did piece from dodger lockerroom focusing on tom house,
stayed in atl for entire series and the following one sincei was breaking in on Braves beat

The two main faces of the Atlanta Braves organization.

RIP to both of them.

If that Bonds trade had gone through, Atlanta would have won more than one world series in the 90's and would have become a dynasty.

Aaron told Ted Turner to pull the trigger on the Dominique Wilkins trade, telling Turner that Wilkins would become the face of the Hawks franchise.
