My mind was recently blown...Bo Derek was only 38 when they filmed Tommy Boy. She was in great shape, but her face made her look like she was 55+. I can't believe it. I had to do the math on 1995 - 1957 = 38 like 3x just to make sure.

Never really thought about that until you pointed it out. I was twelve when Tommy Boy was released and assumed she was much older.

He was Great in the movie "In Broad Daylight" based on a true story and he was a great
actor, so sorry to hear of his passing.

True story. A good friend of mine has a friend who is a minor actor/acting teacher. He told a story one time where his friend was at a benefit dinner with a lot of Hollywood stars. He said they had this huge buffet laid out with every kind of fancy food you could imagine and NONE of the actors were eating it! So his friend decided to take advantage and he went over and started filling his plate. While he was standing there filling his plate, he looks up and notices across from him was none other than Brian Dennehey. He said while piling a plate full of food himself, Brian looked up and said to his friend "character actors, they don't give a **** if we're fat." LMAO!!

I thought she was in her 50s then too. Also Rob Lowe was supposed to be her son but he's only around 7 years younger than her. He was about 31 when the movie came out. I don't remember how old he was supposed to be in the movie. I'm wondering if she was supposed to be older in the movie because if Rob Lowe's character is supposed to be around the same age as Tommy, he'd be around 25-26. So unless she had a kid at age 12 the math doesn't add up. I mean I know it ended up being a con but I still thought it was just an older woman having a younger guy and he still had to be young enough to fool people he was her son.

I also never knew Rob Lowe was actually uncredited in the movie; which is weird since he had a pretty sizable supporting role.

The story is that Lowe was under contract from a Stephen King made for TV movie and was doing it as a side gig
