Her name is spelled Rylie Theuerkauf, by the way!

If the commit is official, can you fix the spelling of the title and update it with "Rylie Theuerkauf committed"?

edit: Good to see someone stepped in, but her first name is still misspelled. Rylie, not Riley.

Second highest offensive rating in conference play for the Dawgs, shot over 40% from behind the arc vs. SEC. Gets to the free throw line at a higher rate than any of last year's Lady Vols (32% of 2PA go to the line) and shot 86% from the stripe.

Flipside: team worst defensive rating in conference play, 7 points per 100 worse than the next lowest starter for UGA.

I think I remember you saying Craft’s defensive metrics weren’t that top level either. Would it be accurate to say that we are selling out for more shooting at the expense of defense?

That's correct, tho with Craft -- her defensive analytics in non-con were almost team best, so at least with her she'll be a player that is strong on both sides of the court when we're playing lesser competition.

Can hope that either of the two make a contribution in the press I guess, that'd really help either one's plusminus.

Whether we're selling out the defense... maybe. I suspect it's more that we're just trying to fill the roster right now, and not being too picky. Having a full roster might give us a better chance at getting our next Cooper/Barker type, with it clear that we'll have offensive tools around them to play with.

Thanks for the info! Really appreciate you bringing some advanced metrics to the discussion.

She was their go to for a bucket in crunch time. Fearless shooter and has deep range. I’m excited to see what she can do at Tennessee.

Her career trajectory tells you she’s a hard worker as well, she has improved her numbers each season and has improved her shooting markedly since her freshman year.

This girl is another shooter that Coach Kim has gathered together to shoot the deep ball...

Some of her action....This girl can play ball! What a shooter!

Maybe more that it's easier (with girls at this level?) to teach defense than develop shooting prowess. I'd guess Barnes was a useful voice in those conversations.

OH. MY. GAWD!

It's totally my fault that Rylie's first name is misspelled because despite knowing how it is spelled, I absentmindedly misspelled it in a thread title asking Freak to change her last name, which he obviously took care of. But now it's STILL wrong! Good grief.

Sorry, Rylie Theuerkauf!! 🧡

Well, it's worked for the NBA, so ... 🤔

(and before anyone tries to get in on it, yes, I know, NBA talent is not WCBB talent, I realize, I'm not predicting anything, okay? So, you know ... chill or something.).
