Here's a list of recent National Championship teams with an Elite 11 QB:


2012- A.J. McCarron
2009- Tim Tebow
2007- Chris Leak
2006- Vince Young
2005- Matt Leinart

All but 1 are already committed.......I find that kinda interesting. I wonder how many will re-open their recruiting if they have a strong showing.

I thought this news was worthy of it's own thread. Our last elite 11 QB was named Tyler Bray, and he turned out alright.

Your right, but still really early on Phillip Sims. He has never gotten a shot yet, its not his fault he isn't better than Bama's best qb since Saban has been there.

Chaney and Dooley have done a great job with Qbs. They've been singing the praises of Peterman and Worley for a while now. Worley made some nice throws for a freshman last year, and now with Ferguson making the elite 11, I'm pretty excited.

Oh ok. I don't think he'll be really very good any where though. Never was really high on him during his recruitment.

I hate to burst your bubble but the Elite 11 is actually 25 at this point. Virtually every school in the SEC has an "Elite 11" QB committed for 2013 not to mention all the Elite 11 QB's already in the SEC. I'm still excited about Riley but the SEC is going to be loaded with good young QB's the next few years.
