Hopefully he was worth the wait. Will be fun to watch and see if he lives up to the hype.

Why must you always use stats, gah. lol

Brandon Jennings has never shot over 40% anywhere and a lot of people think he's pretty good with the Bucks. Would it be nice if these guys shot a higher percentage? Yes. But it doesn't really matter if you can get to the free throw line, make good passes and play good defense. Just ask Derrick Rose. He made it to Eastern Conference finals by shooting 39% in the playoffs. And that's the MVP of the NBA.

He's not. TS% includes FT's in their assesment of scoring efficiency. Jennings shot a TS% of .493 which is well below league average. Brandon Jennings doesn't distribute well either. 4.8 apg and 2.3 topg.

The Bulls made it to the Eastern finals because they play superior defense and are by far the best rebounding team in the NBA. They were good enough to get past the Hawks and Pacers with their top scorer shooting 39%, but that's not good enough to get any further than that.

Seriously, I use stats to assess everyone, and what else can we use to evaluate Rubio?

The game is different over there.

Remember in the NBA you can practically run with the ball.

Yeah, also in the NBA the 3-point line is farther back and we have better shot blockers. Rubio needs to improve his shooting by 13% just to hit league average for PG's. That's a long-ass way to go.

Ricky Rubio is proving me wrong. He shoots exactly average, but his ball distribution is better than anticipated. Someone pointed out that they are very stingy about scoring assists in Euro leagues. He turns it over a little too much, but he's racking up the assists.

The next John Stockton IMO. Doesn't seem to care about scoring on his own, just wants to put the ball in place to get points. I like him.

He's something the league needs right now. Talent minus the need to prove he has "buku" talent on every play and every interview.

This guy controls the game and makes folks look bad on a nightly basis.

I'll be surprised if he reaches Stockton's level. One thing people don't realize is Stockton was one of the most efficient scorers in the league, year in and year out. He shot .515 FG% for his career! TS% of .608 and he scored 15 points per 36.

I think he is more like the next Steve Nash, instead of Stockton. Although Steve Nash is one of the best shooters in NBA history, not sure Rubio can get there but he has a very high ceiling.

Agreed. Nash is more of a run n gun style which seems to suit Rubio best. Plus Stockton was awesome at D.

He's unlike the typical NBA player of "shoot shoot shoot". Love his passing.
