Ricky Gibson to miss an extended period of time...

Disappointing. Think this defense could be elite if we could stay healthy, but with Hobbs injured, Moi sidelined, Boo working his way back, and McCoy still a few weeks out this is a big blow. Hope we can get healthy soon.
Just ONE year, I’d like to see us start a season with no starters injured. Just one.

Wow, just reviewed the PI call on him at the 14:21 mark of second and the non call on offensive PI on Boo at 13:39. Horrible injustice! It was two different sides of the field, but their guy had hold of Boo’s pads for several yards, and all incidental contact on Ricky.

Resulted in their first TD.

Gibson's injury looked really similar to Hadden's injury in the Bama game in 2023. Hope that doesn't end up being the case because Hadden had to have shoulder surgery and missed the rest of the season.

Regardless, I really liked what we saw from Hood and Redmond. Also thought McMurray looked like a dude at STAR and is a guy who could slide back outside to CB. Boo would have to play much better for that to be the case though because he was atrocious in his snaps at STAR on Saturday.

A redshirt year and Gibson coming back next year would not be the worst thing that could happen for the team in the long run. Hadden was done regardless but Gibson could have 2 years of eligibility left.

You’re talking about a guy that’s already aggressively flirted with the portal. In this day and age, there is no next year. We need all hands on deck now. FSU stole away a guy that should be starting at safety and was all over the field against Bama.
Who was that? I saw Jakobe Thomas had a good game for Miami.

I think you meant Miami? Thomas is also hurt, unfortunately. Two seasons in a row that he went down early in the year.
