Rickea Jackson Interview about choosing Tennessee

Great video interview with Rickea Jackson and why chose Tennessee and just getting to know her.

We had 4 pretty good Michigan players featured on the 1988-1989 team that won a National Championship; Tonya Edwards, Daedra Charles, Dena Head & Regina Clark. Dena and Daedra were both 1st team Americans in their career. I think Tonya may have been as well. Does anyone know?

Sorry to have to say this, but Rickea's offer should be withdrawn immediately due to hair, nails, and lashes!!

JK of course, I'm grinning ear to ear. Like Jaz Powell, she seems a really together and charming young lady. As well as a heck of a player with a very level head.

I feel so bad for her that the flow of her career has been so effed up due to coaching and team turmoil. See how often and how emphatically she talks a culture of cohesiveness, support, and peace! Made me sad when she said she just wants peace, the poor girl deserves a season focused on basketball and not drama. Damn the Hayes' are toxic!

I hope for her and for us RJ touches that NCAA floor for about 6 games next year. So happy the LVs and the Harper-built culture are offering her that chance

This was a great interview. I love the part about her passion. We need that passion on the court. It will surely come into play with those big games. Between her and Horston they will not shy away from the moment. Looking forward to next season. Go Lady Vols

…and 3 of those 4 joined Peggy Evans on the 1991 NC team.

Tonya Edwards earned MOP during the 1987 Final Four as a mere freshman on Tennessee’s first NC team.

Peggy Evans was from Country Day and Daedre Charles from Deporres and both schools were always loaded with basketball talent in the 80's and '90s. Actually, Country day is still very relevant and a good program year after year. Chris Webber came out of there as well. They have always had top talent in most of their sports. Pat used to recruit pretty hard in Michigan it would seem.
