Rick Barnes supports John Currie! Against chants!

I'd have the same view - I'd hope the fans came to see the players win a game rather than turn it into a grievance venue.

Disrespectful to the players and Barnes IMHO.

Barnes is actually doing well with the Basketball Team.

He has no business being associated with this mess.

Currie should be canned yesterday. Sorry Rick. He effed this up big! We were the laughing stock with Botch and bigger without him. We are a freaking joke thanks to him!

He also though thought it wasn’t right to fire Butch Jones. He’s just saying what he needs to in his position. I would think it would be painful tho

Rick Barnes is right - support the team, don't buck the boss.

The fans are also right - and the next game is televised.

Definitely a bigger joke now than when FCBJ was here.

Bet the Jones are taking a least a small amount of pleasure in this process

Barnes can hit the road too. This is bigger than him. This is about fighting corruption at the highest levels within our university. It's a grass roots movement to wrestle back control from the crooks that own Pilot oil and the puppets the Haslimes have placed in charge at UT.

Barnes is nothing but a Haslime pecker gnat. He doesn't love Tennessee. He's old and rich and out of touch with the current situation. He needs to shut his his mouth and focus on coaching. If he doesn't make the tournament, he's next.

$8.2 mill isn't small.

The Jones should be happy. He came. He tried. He lost too many games. Not too many hard feelings.

Go coach no more.

Once again the inability of people to see reality. Don't throw Barnes under the bus for wanting the focus to be on the Basketball team and not the AD. I would like to see how many posters on this site go into work and start a chant to fire the owner. You would not last the day. Barnes has taken done a great job in getting his players to play hard trying to build a winner so he can attract elite players. Up until now, why would an elite player want to come to Tennessee? UT has never been a basketball power house. The fan base is delusional. I agree that the administration is a joke and that Currie needs to go but Barnes has got the basketball team going in the right direction. Besides, he was asked what he thought and he gave his opinion and now posters are throwing him under the bus for not agreeing. Typical in America today.

This. Exactly this. That is a damn good basketball team that got ignored so some people could make a point.

Its a question that he has to answer that way to, and should not be criticized over. Its like if your wife asks you if she looks fat.
