The coaches can not execute the plays or make the free throws. Barnes used every time out available to him and the players were taking good shots tonight which simply did not fall.

Both teams are 1 and 2 in the SEC in scoring defense so you knew this game was going to be a defensive dog fight from start to finish.

Hopefully we get to play Kentucky on Saturday night.

You can complain and whine about Barnes after this loss but it’s not as bad as you’re making it out to be. If Keon could have made some of his layups and free throws, we likely pull out the W.

The shots didn’t fall for us in the 2nd half. It happens to some of the better teams. That’s part of the game.

The point is, if you think the basketball program is bad now, it could be a whole lot worse.

Barnes has made this team respectable. Whenever he retires, you better hope Danny White hires a good coach to replace him because it sure as hell won’t be easy

Barnes’ refusal to recruit legitimate forwards is insane! Many say “we need a big man” you can forget that, we need 5 forwards much more! Vols used to always have good forwards and they seemed to grow on trees in the state but they haven’t been present except for Fulk and he’s playing out of position, needs help. The roster mix, poor overall recruiting, and stubbornness to adjust to zone defenses or 3 point offenses makes questioning Barnes completely fair!
