Just learned he produced Weezer's Blue album. I must've known this at one point but had forgotten. Unfortunately, I've only seen the Cars with Todd Rundgren and never got the chance with Ocasek. RIP

Ric was an under appreciated song writer. I cover a couple of cars tunes. Very unique sound and lots of great tunes. Not a fan of the later commercial stuff.

I met him once. Randomly at a restaurant in the Midwest. He stood out as he was wearing all leather like he had just come off the stage. When I say he was down to earth - aside from the getup, you’d think he was just a local regular. Super nice.
