Live in Arkansas and the sports talk here lately has been about the disconnect between their AD and Van Horn. Van Horn just hired Sexton as his agent (per Vitello’s recommendation) and some around here wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a split coming over the next year or two. Apparently the AD won’t commit as much NIL to baseball because he’s trying win at football to save his job.In 2-3 years (maybe sooner) he'll be back in college at a major program. Doesn't have to be Arky, but it very well could be. It would not shock me if Arkansas, UF, Vandy (yuck), and A&M all came open at some point within the next few years, and there's always a chance of a surprise retirement that catches everyone off guard (e.g., what if Jay Johnson won another title at LSU and hung it up)?
Earley already seems like he's in pretty hot water in College Station. Corbin is a legendary coach, but he's also 64, has nothing left to prove, and hasn't made it out of Regionals since 2021. If a job TV wants opens back up, I think he'd just leave SF in a heartbeat unless they suddenly turned things around.
The only way Tony V ever goes to Arkansas is if (a) Hunter Yurachek is no longer their AD, and (b) if DVH personally advocates for it. People can say all that want that Tony and Danny didn't get along, but Danny gave Tony a great deal of what he wanted from a baseball perspective. If you put Tony and Yurachek in the same working environment, somebody isn't coming out aliveLive in Arkansas and the sports talk here lately has been about the disconnect between their AD and Van Horn. Van Horn has a screaming case of hemorrhoids. Zero for life and continues to blame it on everyone except the day in the mirror.Live in Arkansas and the sports talk here lately has been about the disconnect between their AD and Van Horn. We’re all playing bits.I’ve willing subjected myself to TB off and on for close to 30 years. Back to when he used to simulcast on some weird OTA TV channel (it was easier to tune in at my parents house).
He has his place. But if you can’t tell that nowadays some of what he’s doing is a bit to appeal to your type of outlook…i’m not sure I can help you. It’s all part of the job.
Also doesn’t explain you making a dickish statement but here we are.
