Marty Schottenheimer? If you thought Fulmer ball is bad... wait till we play Martyball in Knoxville.

Bobby Petrino?

I heard that Bill King said they need to call Petrino and ask him what he wanted and before he even had a chance to answer say OK. haha

Kevin Steele? I'd just as soon drop football and turn Neyland into the world's largest debate hall.

Hat, what do you think of Gary Patterson right now? TCU is playing pretty bad right now...

I like Charlie Strong on that list. Always has great Defense. And that is what wins Championships.

Add
Bo Pelini
Will Muschamp

Still like him. They've had some fairly serious injury problems and this is the first year one of his teams has fallen short of expectations.

hat, what do you think of muschamp? seems like an energy guy, very intense, but not sure how sound he is scheming and making adjustments.

I'd have to see a longer body of work before I cut him loose with his own program.

Anybody considered Joker Phillips? He's done a great job with UK's offense and is known as a great recruiter.

Just a thought.

Joker has done a masterful job of game management for the most part. He has a few hiccups every now and then. Word in Lex is that he will be taking the riegns for the Cats in '09.

i dont think there is a Urban Meyer type coach on the horizon, and a lot of programs looking to rebuild right now. Arkansas, Miss St, Ole Miss, from the SEC alone. This is something where Hamilton has to act fast, otherwise someone else will offer the potential candidate.

I like Patterson too, that's my choice, I suspect though he's on everybody's short list, have to act fast.

They are already ready to run Petrino out of Atlanta---he may be available next year.

I think Spurrier's getting tired of the mediocre talent base at USC. He might come home to Tennessee for the right money.

Hmmm... Augusta National and coach the Shamecocks or come back home to be closer to Johnson City?
