I think our Vols earned the respect of the nation today with a gutty effort. It's obvious that we're a few pieces short, but we're on the right track.

BTW...the CBS guys just stole my thoughts!

Hopefully we've heard the last of the CLK comments regarding Florida. I'm over it.

We are an average Quarterback away from one of the best teams in the country. If you don't believe that after today, I highly doubt your reasoning. Florida was out-coached, out-hustled, and out gameplanned the entire 1st half, and then it came down to our D getting a little tired. Florida really did nothing with the amount of weapons they have, and how many more they had than us, and Spikes looked lost almost half the game. I really don't think Florida is THAT much better than us right now, except they have a QB that knows how to run their offense and have the tools, and we don't meet either of those 2....

Florida better enjoy this victory. We showed today that we are headed in the right direction. Tebow is gone after this year and probably Meyer too. They are headed toward the bottom of the cellar.

Smart coaching, tough play. Just came up short. Better showing than Fulmer gave us recently.

IMO, We earned some respect from Florida players (based on their actions hugs/handshakes at the end) and from Meyer, who showed class by seeking out Hardesty and Berry afterward.

Props to the Vol fans in attendance who gave Crompton a cheer as he entered the tunnel. He played smart (mostly) and didn't get us beat.

Our D is truly tenacious... and besides Berry this is probably the least talented D he'll have at UT. Note to opponents: we will HIT YOU HARD.

Definitely earned some respect. I think Gators were glad to just get out of there. I, too, hope this lays to rest the Kiffin comments thing. I got so sick of seeing that stuff all day replayed on every channel before the game. Florida will lose this year.

I only wish we would have gone at Tebow a few more times.A few more sacks for losses would have made it a different result. He ate us alive. If it wasn't for him... We would be having a much different result...possibly A WIN.
Our "D" did come to play. Playing the #1 team in the nation in their house and a 30 point dog... Hopefully we can use this to "grow on" for the rest of the year.

Tebow is a great player as much as I hate him. Urban is an arrogant man for sure. Crompton is just terrible, but we played well overall. We were out manned in the QB position, our defense is phenomenal.

I am a nobody to you all, but UT def earned much respect today from me, and the college football world. I did pick UT to upset FLA though. Got to give UT the props they deserve.

BTW I already knew Berry was a beast, but now even more than ever! :)

I fully expect the media to give us credit over the next day or two and keep us in the national spotlight. This is a great opportunity for recruits to get in on the UT resurgence.

If our D can hold them to 23 then they had better hope the don't meet you guys again in the SECcg.

The CBS guys are, let's just say....clueless! Man the things they say at times are just moronic. How about the time they showed Kiffen thinking about Crompton and then Urban thinking about all his "weapons." Kinda like a slap in the face from them. I told my wife that I think VERN is a FLA fan.

I love all the articles I'm seeing today.I have to say that there have been victories where I haven't felt as upbeat about the Vols as I do after this loss. Don't get me wrong, a loss is still a loss. But this staff obviously has a plan for the future and is "working like heck" to bring pride back to the program.
