Platoon sucked.

I watch this every couple years. Terrible movie but I can't look away if it comes on.

Kelly's Heros - saw several WWII movies; this one is a classic with an all-star cast
Dirty Dozen - probably mentioned but another great WWII
Where Eagles Dare - speaking of WWII (honorable mention to The Guns of Navarone)
The Eiger Sanction - Clint in a classic
Kentucky Fried Movie - may seem tame but was the predecessor to Airplane and the like
The Getaway - the original; Sam Peckinpah, Steve McQueen, Ali Mcgraw
Goodfellas - classic
Taxi Driver - classic
Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension - cult but fun
