It's ok, he's only a walk on. But watch Phil put the hammer down, since he has nothing to lose by nailing a walkon.

He is only a walk on because he is 27 and a MLB Team is paying for his education. He was an extremely highly regarded recruit when he was in HS.

A walk on is still on the roster. Still carries the Vols name and reputation. Trying qualifying this to someone by saying, "It's ok, he is only a walk on." Sad.

The Fulmer Cup is as good as ours!

Seriously, what don't these players understand about keeping a low profile?

my question is because he's been invited to walk on, only been enrolled for 2 weeks and has probably never even worked out with the team.

This has gotten out of hand, is there something in the water down in Knoxville?

As a current UT student in Knoxville, if it is something in the water, then it won't be affecting much of the student body. Now if it is something in the bottles...

the last thing Kentucky needs to be doing is offering advice on how to run a clean program or mocking the events of others.

I hear you. My perspective is comes from living amongst these Gators. The walk on statement doesn't fly here.

Dude, it has nothing to do with Kentucky or running a clean program, but it does have everything to do with discipline and character.

At this point, you can blame it on crooked cops, transgressions of youth, boys will be boys, etc.

But let's face it. There is a problem in Knoxville.

Discipline... yes. Character... not sure you can fairly make that accusation.

No big deal---just a walk on.

I hope you're being sarcastic. Do you know anything about Faison? He has the physical tools to come and contribute right away in the secondary.

Also, ESPN will still report it, walk-on or not.
