My favorite JG game was the one where he changed the play, held the ball and tried to score a TD. Instead he fumbled it, the other team recovered and ran it back 100+ yards for a touchdown. But for that play, Tennessee would have won the game.Nah, fairly sure JG could’ve snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Nico wasn’t good but he wasn’t that bad either.
Bad precedent. If he's not held accountable, then why should anyone else meet their contractual obligations. We don't want to be in that business. One of the blessings of having NI hit the portal now is we avoid a potential public spat about $ at the end of next year, if his behavior regarding obligations worsened. Nobody wins in that scenario.
Shoulda been preparing to head to the draft at the end of this season, dont think there would have been a spat about money unless the season went bad enough that he wasnt projected as a first rounder at which point their would be no leverage for more money. We don't want to be in that business. One of the blessings of having NI hit the portal now is we avoid a potential public spat about $ at the end of next year, if his behavior regarding obligations worsened. Nobody wins in that scenario.
Because sports reporting as an industry is fake. It takes an event like Nico leaving before the truth (if it’s even true) comes out. Almost all the “reporters” (especially local) knew what was going on behind the scenes for a while. Nico leaving gave the the green light to finally report it. What these ”reporters” report is for the most part is what the university allows them to report. Is Josh Pate going to release the names of the other players at other schools that he claims did the same thing? Why is he holding that back?
