For those that want the Nico story to die, this thing will have a lot of life until he is wherever he is going to end up and it will resurface depending on his play if he starts somewhere next fall.

Even better...If he doesn't get a landing spot good enough for pops, let him back on the roster as walk-on and drop him to scout squad QB. Merk & Mac are prolly better QB's anyway. Won't be hard to outperform Nico.

Nico should be sent a documentary of the Life, Times, and Career Trajectories of the Ball Brothers, and how a greedy and ignorant pops derailed their careers and reputations.

As my dad taught us...the only thing you take with you when you die is your name.

Look at the claim. He's saying multiple "cats like Nico almost held out of playoff games." LOL. Your BS meter should be going off. We had all these guys who were going to sit out, but none of them did, and we never got any names or sources on any of them? Why didn't they hold out? What stopped them? How was there an "almost?" What is the story here? There are no details about ANYTHING until somebody's left, disgraced, and it's easy to pile on but we still can't share sources.

People wanna believe it.

If it is from a reputable source like Josh Pate, on3, Chris Low then yes. We are not talking about what some anonymous message board poster or social media account says. We’re talking about plugged in media personalities and journalists that have good sources and a good track record. We were talking about very established people citing anonymous sources who put reputations on the line. Pretty big difference. This isn’t Pat MacAfee who peddles gossip. did I say we have to believe everything from anonymous sources. What I’m talking about is it’s silly to write off every report that sites anonymous sources. One of good journalism is done because of anonymous sources. You were drawing a ridiculous conclusion and assuming that I think we should believe everything anyone says with anonymous sources.

The really interesting aspect is that this could be the event that actually does something to begin the clean up of the mess the NCAA has created with the portal and NIL. So he might be remembered in the same vein as Curt Flood. (I know I know... don't get carried away... Nico is a dirtbag, and at least CF was a great ballplayer)

I’m not talking about letting him play in that game, I’m talking about keeping him after the game. If they pull stuff like that before playoff game, do you know it’s going to continue. I would’ve let him play that game and then be done with it once the season is over.

I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I don’t have a hard time believing it. I certainly am not going to refuse to believe it just because he doesn’t name his sources. I tend to think that’s probably true.

To be clear, I'm not saying it's false. I'm saying I need more proof since this is an outlandish claim. You can put your trust in him. IDK him from McAfee.

We were lab rats vs. the playoff version of tOSU. Other teams got to see our film and learn what they changed...and we did about as well as any of them, in Columbus, in the freezing cold, with multiple key WR injuries. I highly doubt we had players throwing that game. Nico played hard, for one.

Again, I’m not saying I necessarily believe it. I tend to believe it, but I don’t know for sure. I’m just saying I’m not going to write it off just because he does not name his source.

If any player threatens to sit out a game, especially a playoff game, call their bluff. Don’t even talk about it. If the player actually goes through with it and let his team down, let’s see how that works out for him. Let’s see how his teammates respond. Let’s also watch as his value decreases as he shop himself to a new school.
