Reminder: There is a ballgame Saturday

Besides South Carolina, who is the other quality defense you think is going to be on the field Saturday?

When it's not sucking wind from being on the field the entire game, they can actually play defense...

(I'm just going to conveniently ignore the 3rd down thing.)

For some reason I feel very benign about the game Saturday. I don't know if apathetic is the right word to describe it. Maybe melancholy? No… more like plain vanilla or white bread dipped in milk…maybe like a bowl of unseasoned grits.

I have such a hard time getting excited for these games, but I always find myself on Gameday forgetting our record and just seeing that T on our helment against whichever SEC foe it is for the day....so in other words I am still pretty pumped for Saturday and really do want to see this team in a bowl game (even if it is the toilet bowl).

Coupled with I live in Charleston I really don't want to hear all the Cock sqwalck about how they have passed UT up in the SEC...

What makes you think either side is getting to 14?

I hate to say it, but I could see Stephen Garcia having a big game against us. He's just mobile enough to be the type of QB that gives us fits.

I could care less what happens Saturday win or lose. If I see players on the sideline laughing an Phil not showing an ounce of fire and intensity why should I give a d@#$.

Won't take a whole lot of scoring by either team to salt it away. Either team gets up 10 points its probably over. I say offensively this game will be a trainwreck on both sides. Carolina really doesn't have anyone outside of kenny mckinley that is a threat on the outside. We'll try to sqeeze their offense to the middle of the field.

Yes, ballgame this Saturday. Go Gamecocks!!!! Look at it this way - if we win the game we really lose. If we lose the game we win big!

We really haven't talked football since we realized we couldn't get a first down on 3rd and 1 against NIU.

The season was lost at UCLA.

My Vol season has been reduced to looking forward to seeing who Eric Berry takes my frustration out on each week and then watching SportsCenter highlights the next day to see if the hit is on the promo.

While I'm at it, a shout out to D-Mo for the legit hit against UGA. That gave me some relief as well.

UAB's coach compares the two defenses...

UAB coach Neil Callaway has lost to UT and South Carolina this season, but his quotes didn’t leave much wiggle room about which defense was more impressive.
“I thought the Tennessee secondary was good, but they weren’t the type of secondary that will just splatter you,” Callaway told the Birmingham News before the Blazers’ game against the Gamecocks. “South Carolina has a couple safeties that will just splatter you.
“There is no comparison about defensive fronts. Tennessee had big old wide-bodied people, but they didn’t play real fast. (South Carolina’s) guys are big and play fast.”

Completely untrue...apparently. As some have stated, Fulmer is gone regardless of the outcome this season...might as well hope for a win.
Why hope for a loss anyway? We're already doing that...just sit back and watch if you really want us to lose.
