Remembering 1998: Vols win overtime thriller against Gators

It's the night before kickoff and I'm happier than a 3 peckered billy goat. The night before the season is always magical. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. Saw this on YT tonight and I had to share. I know I should be sleeping but insomnia never felt so good. I'll sleep when I'm dead.

I'll never forget that night. I get chills just thinking about it. I hope some of you younger fans get to experience a 98 type of season. There is no feeling in the world quite like it.

Wife & I were there as our son a freshman in the P.O.T.S. Band. He told us that marching the pregame show the crowd was so loud that band members couldn't hear themselves playing. Wild, wooly & wonderful!

I had season tickets 1 year, my wife is just not that interested in going to every game and being 6 hours away is too far to drive to Knoxville and back in the same day. I just pay the scalpers for the 3-4 ballgames I go to each year. I do have a bucket list item to visit every SEC stadium. I better hurry up before the SEC expands to 24 teams and I go broke trying to make it to every SEC stadium.

I was watching in my apartment in JC and I jumped so high I punched the ceiling. I was at what was the #1 game on that list, 1998 Arkansas vs UT. To be honest that was a miserable game to be at for most of the game. The weather sucked and the game wasn't going our way. That said the ending made everything worth it x100.
