Bear Bryant knew when his Team Played UT regardless of records that he was playing his toughest game of the year.

Steve Spurrier would throw his visor from Frustration when playing UT

Bo Jackson took himself out of a game in the 3rd Quarter with only 42 yards.

UT was 45-3 in November.

Teams feared coming into Neyland Stadium and we very rarely lost a game at home.

Losses hinged on one play and were 6 points or less.

Total points for an entire season of losses was 10 or less.

Defenses shut great opponents out or down.

UT was in the top 10 at the end of the season

UT was in the top 5 at the end of the season

Media Commentators were made fools of.

Every Important game was on the premiere Networks.

WILL WE EVER SEE Those days again?
I think we will but its going to take a while to get back where we need to be. That being said Fulmer can right the ship if he makes some moves in the offseason. FIRE CHAVIS and his whole defensive staff #1 then go out and get a DC that can make adjustments And put fire back on our defense.
say what you want about Chavis and his past defense's he's not getting it done now.And the NOW is the only thing people care about. Blame youth but the fact of the matter is that he needs to move on we need fresh ideas.
#2 Hire a freaking special teams coach Nuff said
#3 Stop recruting 2* and 3* players hoping they will become playmakers and when they dont they get stuck on the bottom of the depth chart taking up scholarship room. We need 4*& 5* recruits to get this ship to sail right. Some will say we cant get those type of recruits.
then we need to ask WHY?
Do all of those things IMO and the ship will sail again and CPF can put his bucket away because we will no longer be taking on water.

We never had to worry about the second string QB.

We had a pass Rush and defense.

yeah, everything except Spurrier throwing his visor often. Maybe in 2001 when you ran all over us after the game was delayed because of 9/11. Other than that not really.

1993 or 92 FL went through three QBs that game.

Just want to say that I greatly respect the Vols and their history and I don't want to be banned because of sarcastic comments. I am a very sarcastic person and I actually enjoy discussing football with an "Educated" fanbase. I really like Volnation! But I will always have that Gator in me.

That s ok you are welcomed to our board. I hope you are treated with the same respect. When it comes to FL Tennessee can be very passionate it sometimes becomes a tough pill to swallow but FL is the real deal and we are very envious of your status I believe and when compared to our current situation it produces much Chaos.

If memory serves me, Vols won in '92 and lost to us in '93. I remember that '93 game was back and forth. I remember being in the sunshine seats in BHG and going to relieve myself in the bathroom, and Shuler threw a long TD while I was "Away". I always thought Shuler was going to be a really good NFL QB.

What a bust. We have had two solid QBs in the NFL if you go back to the 70s then three. Bobby Scott. Peyton Manning and Pat Ryan.

I'm 29, UF Grad. I guess I was about 13 during the '93 game and my dad is from New York and I remember Shuler going to the Redskins and thinking, "Oh ****, he going to kill the Giants".

That never happened. Not sure why he did not peak. Could not beat Alabama. Peyton could but could not beat FL. Clasen managed to beat them both and T Martin did also but Zook might have be the factor. Tony Robinson was a fantastic QB for us a true World beater and came out of Prison to play Professionally for the Washington Redskins. Drugs ended his career at UT. Daryle Dickey was the 2nd string QB and if there had been a playoff system that year 1985 we would have won it.

Welcome to the board.:hi:

As a Tennessee and Redskins fan, imagine my disappointment when he fell on his face.
