At what point does Daniel Lincoln lose his job. His numerous missed field goals hurt UT on several occasions. If Lincoln hits his field goals it changes the complection of several games this year. It would have had a bearing on the play calling of the other team.

I hope we have someone to replace him, or that Fulmer has him kicking 100 a day unitil next year!

Eh, give the kid a break. It was the biggest game of his life and he's only a freshman. He's kicked well in other games.

Just like the criticisms of Ainge... one bad game (albeit the Champ Game) can't and shouldn't undo a year of accomplishments.

After the year Lincoln has had, I don't see how you can call for him to lose his job. Remember the SC game?

I can't seem to think of one game that Lincoln cost us. This guy has been a pleasant surprise all year and he misses two FG's and he shouldn't be playing? You do realize that one of those kicks was 51 yards.

wow. I thought I had seen it all. Bashing Lincoln? Are you serious? I'm so thankful for this kid. Can't wait to see what his next three years at Rocky Top bring.

Its hard to bash a freshman that has done a halfway decent job. He should continue to improve each year.

didn't make it in but we drank in the CNN center for a few minutes before the game. Pretty sure I saw FineVol as I walked by but couldn't get his attention. He was talking to a bunch of LSU fans :realmad:

Field goals are never automatic, especially 51 yarders, and that freshman kicker whos head you are calling for won several games this year. Terrible request IMO

Not sure I ever remember 51 yard field goals being automatic. The first miss was a bad one though.

the kid is a second team freshman all-american and all SEC kicker.

He did his job this season

cut the kid some slack, he's a freshman

But what I found more disturbing was calling a timeout to decide whether or not to kick a 51 yard field goal. Bad move by Fulmer.

Lincoln was a combined 8/8 on EP and 4/4 on FG's against Cal, Florida, and Bama.

Both kickers were very good and missed easy shots, made me wonder if artifical turf or being inside played a role, I assume the dome does not have real grass.

Lincoln was 21-28 on FGs and made 49 of 49 PATs. He was 14-16 inside 40 yards. The kid was a good kicker as a freshman and should only get better.

I'd say he will lose his job sometime in January after his senior season.

not discrediting Lincoln by any stretch of the imagination, but does the blocked PAT not count against him?
