He was so inexperienced he had to look to the sidelines everytime to get the play call from Sanders.

Sanders would read the D and signal the play to Ainge...at least this is how it was at the beginning of that season

Now look at Ainge...in complete command of no huddle offense...

This is why we win Saturday...a 4 year starter in complete command of a high powered offense going against an inexperienced D...

He and Cut will just pick apart that D with the no huddle all day. People are afraid of UF scoring at will on us but on the flip side we should be supremely confident that we will score at will on them

I hope you're right and I also believe Ainge will play well.

But Florida has the athletes and Ainge doesn't play defense or special teams - my key areas of concern.

Very true...but one of the main "themes" to this game is youth and inexperience...for both teams.

I just have a feeling that the experienced, senior QB is going to end up being the difference in the game

i think they key to the game for UT is to establish the run more so than the pass in order to control the clock.

Ainge needs to go on a quick count more often.

Several times against USM it looked like he was waiting for the 12th man to run of the field before he snapped the ball.

Florida will sub on their D-line often. Ainge needs to catch them with the extra man for a free 5 yards.

Check the stats -- Florida is the most penalized team in the SEC.

Jax, I honestly believe we have been saving that aspect of the no huddle until this very game. Hidden, if you will.

He lacks a big signature win during his career. He's had a couple of nice W's, (Florida 04, @ Georgia 04, Cal 06)...but this is his chance to get one of those big, memorable senior victories...I hope he gets it.

Uh, it's actually close to the same thing he was doing his freshman year, it's just that he calls the play at the line rather than huddling first. The calls are still coming from the sideline.

Cal 06 and UGA 06 were pretty good...but I agree that this is the year for him to establish a legacy.

I don't think anyone blames him for the Cal loss...so if he can be the main cog in a championship run this year he could validate a solid career that has been up and down from the beginining

And it all starts this weekend if it's going to start at all

That's very true but my main point is how he is handling it all this year. He seems to be in complete control of it...like a 4 year starter should be.

His freshman year we were bascially limited to the play that was signalled and we had to worry if Ainge tried to adjust at the line. Several plays that year were wasted becasue of this.

Now, Ainge knows the offense in and out and will make the right choice almost every time and that's what will make the difference in this weekends game

what a funny thread. i don't know that it's going anywhere. basically we're saying ainge has matured in his 4 years at UT. i would hope that happens with all freshmen
