Gods hand in the givernments of men. Interesting to think about with the world situation now.

Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

20
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21
And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

In the world but not of the world. Satan is the god of this world.

John 15:18

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you."

19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

21

"But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.”

Throughout the history of Judah the rightous leaders ,even with their defects , lifted the people up, and under unrighteous leaders the people became sinful and worshipped idols.
Elections are coming up. We should let our faith dictate our politics and not vice versa. Know what your choices believe by what they promote. I have always believed that if one supports Biblically defined moral issues , the other issues will be taken care of.

Thoughts on family.
Saw today that a young lady was demonized on the View for saying that young women should fall in love get married and have a family. Apparently young women cant afford it and there are not enough government services . They will grow up in poverty. Turns out love is a great motivator. And what is poverty level in the city is a decent blue collar living in the country many places.
The family is the Gods plan.
We were redeemed by Jesus .
John1: 12-13
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
We are told:
Be fruitful and multiply ...
Proverbs 22
6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Any thoughts on family?
The birth of a child is a miracle .
The happiest times was with my family.
Pray that the "circle be unbroken , by and by Lord , bye and by. "

Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

Luke 22:44

“And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

AI Overview
Yes, it is possible to sweat blood from intense stress or extreme emotional fear, a very rare condition known as haematidrosis (or hematohidrosis). Under extreme distress, tiny capillaries feeding the sweat glands can rupture, causing blood to mix with sweat and secrete onto the skin's surface.

Theological question for the group here:

Obviously there is a ton of debate on whether or not your modern day follower of Jesus should support Israel, since this is not the Israel of old and is a newer government with some… interesting… values.

We are commanded in the Bible to honor and support Israel.

But my question is this: Wouldn’t it be a sound argument that WE are Israel now? We being the followers of Jesus? If the Jews stopped being exclusively God’s chosen people after the resurrection and that was extended to everyone, is it possible that the “Israel” we are asked to honor is really just the collective body of believers?

I have heard that before . However here is what I came up with.
Genesis chapter 17
7
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
The first Christians were Jews.
And Romans chapter 11.
The first gentiles that accepted Jesus were the wild olive branches grafted into the root stock, Israel ,as I understand it.
17
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
It also speaks of provoking the Jews to jealousy , showing them what was meant for them.
Not replacing Israel , but sharing in the promises of God to Israel.

So you’re saying Abrahamic bloodline essentially disqualifies the theory?

The covenant was with the bloodline of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob. This was physical ; to become a great nation. A homeland was given to the 12 tribes.
The Messiah was a spiritual prophecy for Israel.
Jesus came not to abolish the law of Moses but to fulfill the law. A new covenant with the Jews to do away with animal sacrifices for covering sin. He first came to the Jews then the gentiles. Righteousness in the finished work Christ , not of own our works or the blood of goats and sheep.Jesus blood shed once for all . Whosoever will . In Genesis
22:18
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
The Book of Revelation speaks of 2
witnesses preaching the gospel in the streets of Jerusalem. and Jesus
coming back to defend and fight for Israel in the last days.
