Dear Volnation,
I'm drinking the Kiffin Kool-aid now but my biggest fear from the new staff is that they will get us in trouble with the NCAA
Can anyone answer this question?
Was Kiffin and O in charge of USC recruiting when Reggie Bush was living in a 3500k a month condo in LA?
I think i know the answer just want to verify.
thanks for any help

Also, what ever happened with those allegations? Is USC under any kind of punishment for that?

Thank goodness we wont have to worry about that..........

$1000 a month in knoxville will get you a pretty nice pad....:eek:lol:

Who cares, looks like USC is still on a pretty nice run.

The last staff put the team in the tank without NCAA violations. Not that they didn't commit any.:whistling:

I don't recall O having any recruiting violations while at Ole Miss....

and he seems to be the one everybody's focusing on as it relates to this subject matter.

If there's anybody you need to watch out for as it comes to recruiting violations (I know there are several, but...), the most prominent, (to my knowledge and just IMO), was Lou Holtz...

..and neither Kiffin nor Yaw Yaw are Lou Holtz

I care ab
some of us have ethics instead of "just win baby"
This is the principle that seperates us from bammer

Refresh my memory. What sanctions were levied on USC? ......threads on if the staff will have a chemistry problem, thread on possible NCAA troubles. How many more useless threads can we come up with? How about, "Will the Faultline that runs beneath Knoxville open up and swallow the stadium on gameday?" Geez

this is a legit question
with the largest recruiting budget in CF, and envious enemies in our backyard, dont think for one second that others arent watching and waiting to catch us.

And my question was legitimate as well. What was USC caught and sanctioned for?

me thinks that if there was any evidence that pete knew about reggie that the ncaa would have actually gone after SC.

my personal belief is not that pete et all knew what was going on, but just that he thought it was none of his business (i.e. the nfl model). this in itself is lack of institutional control, but i doubt the ncaa will make an example of SC. i'm sure kiff has learned thta it IS his job to know such things.

I thought Reggie Bush's mother was the problem because the home, condo, or whatever she was living in near campus was owned by some up-start sports agent? At least when all the hub-bub was going on I didn't think it was anything USC was doing, but rather something Reggie and his family were doing.

Not sure what happened, but not a single person and I mean nobody will ever go after USC for anything..nope not even Rod Wilks.. Seriously USC walks on water to the NCAA and the media.. I really don't think anyone would say a word about it even if it was true.. I thought the Bushes settled the case out of court with the guy that threatened to take it to the NCAA.. Either way you will never see anything about that again.. The whole thing has been thrown in a hole and covered up..Who really knows what happened, but several post are correct USC hasn't been hit by the NCAA..They never will be either.. :)

Edit; They will end up the AP national champion too even though the sooners and gators ae playing for the coaches vote
