it was 1 of 2 schools in the district.

Access Denied

I could easily see them not getting into the "better school" when all their paper work was probably not in order or they didn't meet all the criteria for a school that has almost of a third of its population in AP classes.

I'm just down the road and worked in our Alt Ed academy for a while. That environment sucks for anyone who truly wants to learn. If these refugees didn't have any sort of criminal history, and it appears they didn't, they should have gone to a regular high school with other ESL students.

The schools are obviously better in Somalia, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Burma.

So why not go back and get your kids a quality education you ungrateful bastards....

No. I'd probably use the tax dollars I got/get every month from the unsuspecting Americans and move.

Not sue and cost the same Americans more tax dollars.

I witnessed this crap first hand from the Katrina "victims". It BS!

I think I'd go get one of those jobs Americans won't do and thank god everyday I'm not in a refugee camp or whatever hellhole I escaped. Anything else is gravy.

I still don't understand the point you guys are making. They didn't enter illegally, so it can't be that. Is it simply that they are foreigners? Are we hating all foreigners now? Are they Muslim? I know we are supposed to hate Muslims, so it's it that? They are refugees, but not from Syria. Are we hating all refugees these days?

Wait, I get it. You guys are insulted that some African refugees think one of schools suck and you are defending the American education system. Good for you for being stand up guys.

OK, now that I figured that out I'm going to bed.

There are American children that have access to just as bad or even worse education than these people. In their home counties, they likely had very little to no education. Now they are in a country that offers them medical care, education, access to clean water, good sanitation, a roof over their head, government assistance if needed, good food, telecommunications, several freedoms and the ability to make a much better life for themselves.

Yeah they should definitely sue because their life is terrible. I am not saying their situation isnt bad but this is a little ridiculous in my opinion.

why do they get special treatment? The other school has a waiting list. again the school they are in is 1 of 2 in the district. If the school board gives in they are opening themselves up for a bunch more lawsuits from those that are getting displaced and have been waiting.

The last thing I'm doing is defending our education system.

Do you not see an issue with refugees being brought to this country on tax payor money then sue because it's not up their standard? They are suing so they can have a better life than children here in the US that have working parents. They will win this lawsuit, guaranteed.
