Redshirts this year

any news on which of our freshman are redshirting this year?

They won't make a decision on this until they see them practice. I'm sure there are obvious choices to redshirt, but some freshman might come out of nowhere to compete. D. Moore wasn't thought of as highly as our other WR recruits the year he came in, but ended up impressing and getting a little playing time. You never know until they practice.

With the exception of Toney Williams I don't think that will be determined until the end of fall practice and I wouldn't be surprised if none of the incoming players are redshirted but realistically I can't see more than two or three not counting Williams.

I'd say Hood will probably redshirt. Jeffrey will redshirt if he has any setbacks with his knee and Toney because of the injury. Other than that I see most of the players contributing on SP at the very least.

Revis would be the most obvious, I would think. He's projected as a center and McNeil/Sullins seem to have that position locked down.

I figured Williams would after the injury, Hood and Revis are the other 2 i think that will get redshirted...hopefully Jeffery won't have any trouble out of the knee and will be able to contribute early along with the other freshmen..if thats the only ones we keep redshirted and we get alot of contribution out of these freshmen, then i think we will be in good shape for the future

Kevin Revis, Daniel Hood, and Arthur Jeffrey would be my guess.

Maybe one of the LBs.

That's a big maybe. Askew, King and Nelson have all been impressive thus far in workouts and our depth there is thin so, wouldn't surprise me to see them all play at some point.

I think most of them should start out with a redshirt.Because if I am not mistaken they can still practice, and if there happened to be an injury and we needed one of them, then the redshirt could just be lifted.
