I've actually mentioned that to him (during football season) and he had no problems admitting his hatred for orange and you have to admire that.

Why is it a problem though? He is nothing but respectful on VN and is much better than most rival posters. There are plenty of "Vol fans" who should be on the ban list before him.

The ones who act neutral but constantly spam the board with bammer crap get under my skin more.

Read my post again. Some of you are intelligent, well-spoken fans. Some have no interest in having grown-up conversation. There are both types in every fanbase, including UK fans.

I am not a Vol fan. I am a Kentucky fan. But I will tell you that I respect the intelligent posters here.

There's nothing controversial about Brian's post in that thread. You could say something like that about not only any fan base, but any randomly selected grouping of humans on the planet. Seriously, look around you the next time you are in a crowd... Although statistically speaking some who read this could look in the mirror.

Then why only emphasize the negative ones with stereotypical insults? Why not go into greater detail about the MAJORITY of posters here who have two eyebrows and DIDN'T just drag themselves out of "the holler"? If you respect the intelligent ones so much, why not talk a little more about them?

I don't really have a problem with it. I imagine rival fans tend to hold back a lot less in their own environment, so you can't necessarily hold it against him.

In the end, it's only the opinion of one person - take it with a grain of salt.

LIO, have you ever gone to Wal-Mart in any town in Kentucky? We have the same people there. Hey, their cousins live in Florida, Michigan, even Alaska.

I didn't think Brian's post was bad. Though I love when my Vols beat the 'Cats I've always rooted for the Cats in the tourney. I think it's great that Cat fans get fired up with our rivalry now. They barely paid it any attention when BuzzBall reigned.

sounds like a smooch up McCat. By the way after work I will going back to my holler with my eyebrows and hairy knuckles dragging. At least my holler is close to the beach, less rocks to drag my hairy knuckles on as I visit my favorite Parrot Head establishment!

And Brian.........shame on you. Call us knuckle draggers on another board and then come here and say it was a joke. Neither the posters on that board or this one are able to discern who you consider to be intelligent/knuckle dragger. You are in a sense therefore calling us all knuckle draggers by default.
