Our 12 year old boston terrier choked on pizza crust. P.nut pointed out Oreo was choking. I didn't know wtf to do. Red grabbed her up and did a heimlich like you would on an infant. That cleared her nose so she could breath. Red then swept the food from her mouth. Oreo had gone limp and I thought she had died but Red is super woman and handled it while the rest of the dumbasses in the house watched in horror.
Oreo is fine but will no longer get scraps to eat.

As you were.

my middle daughter choked when she was about 5. I done the heimlich and beat on her back until she had turned blue. I thought we were in trouble. On the last try, I dislodged whatever it was that was hung. I was so exhausted that I layed in the floor for 30 minutes afterwards. We were lucky that day.

Thanks. It kinda freaked me out because I had no idea what to do. A choking person I could handle but what do you do for a dog.

Red did it by laying the dog on its back and pushing in and up on its belly below the ribs.

This was followed by a deep inhale threw Oreos nose. Red still had to free the bread from Oreos throte
