ok. so i get off of work today and go straight to walmart to buy need for speed shift.im off tomm so i figured i can play alot then.so i get home and nwrap the game and put it in. the bam! 3 red rings flashing on my xbox. :banghead2::banghead2: i coulda sworn there is a thread on the ring of death but my search thing is going slooooooooooooow.

Make sure everything is plugged in correctly. Power cord, HDD, etc. That'll do it sometimes.

Sucks.

I had the 3 bar red ring last year. Luckily, it was 2 weeks before the warranty ended.

My Falcon XBox RROD'd the other day. In pieces now waiting for Home Depot and Lowe's to get their act together and get the parts in from Rosen's list...

When I first got mw2 I put it in, joined my friends party, and soon as my 1st game started I got rrod.

Did he make a tutorial on how to fix it? If so, can you link me to where he talks about RROD

I'm using this tutorial on how to disassemble, etc. linked on the last page of that thread.

Llamma's Xbox 360 3RLOD (three red light error) X-Clamp Fix

It's been a week or so now that mine has been disassembled and both Home Depot and Lowe's (a brand spankin' new one, no Grand Opening yet) don't have the parts in. It's like there was a run on RROD's here in Hawaii, and the parts got cleaned out...
