I think he has as good of a chance to go back to ole miss as he does coming here. You never know. These kids love CCS. I am pumped over the hire. Love it!!!! Haven't been this excited since we hired Dave Clawson.

So Strong lands the following list (in no particular order):

Vonn Bell
Jason Hatcher
Derrick Green
Jalen Ramsey
Carl Lawson

This would be awesome. I'm sure I haven't included everyone.

Love this thread but we need to tone it down just a wee but here cause remember the las time we got extra hyped up for a coach we thought we were gonna get(Gruden)? But I still think CCS is gonna kick azz for us when he comes here!!!

I never thought we were gonna get Gruden. I said it was ridiculous the entire time.

*Edit - I also think Strong is a better candidate than Gruden. Much prefer this hire.

Why does everyone think Strong is coming here? There hasn't been an official decision made yet. Just because of all of the rumors that are out there everyone thinks it has already happen.. Isn't this the same thing that happen with Gruden? I mean I hope he gets hired but this has been such a wild ride I can't get my hopes up, just to be let down again.....

I am going to start an annoying rumor, like so many other people do...

Strong is coming to U.T. In fact, his wife's uncle has a house in Knoxville. Also, Strong has property in Knoxville. Also, Strong is Pentecostal and his church in Lousiville has a sister church in Knoxville, so the move to Knoxville will be an easy one.


On a serious note, I doudt Strong or any coach at a good program will come to U.T. They are acting interested in U.T. so they can get a raise at their current job.

It makes no sense for anyone from Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Nebraska to come to U.T. Our recruiting in Tennessee is worse than those states recruiting. It would also be a lateral move, not a move up the ladder.

No one from Florida State or Miami is coming to U.T. either. They may act interested in the job, so they can get a raise at their current job though.


We will end up with Butch Jones from Cincinnati. To him, U.T. would be a move up the ladder....
