Recruiting will take.. Wins? Playing Time? Facilities? Fans?

Can anyone update me on The Berry brothers? I've seen mixed stories

They are quiet about recruiting right now. Partly because of their focus on track team and perhaps a little bit because of who their brother is. I believe one of them has mentioned wanting to play on the offensive side of the ball. All the crystal ball predictions on 24/7 have them to UT right now. Anyone can feel free to correct any mistakes or elaborate further.

Go to Rivals, and look at Fulmer' s 2002 class. The number of five stars was amazing zzz ing.

These guys (and others I'm sure I left out) have Tennessee high on their list...But what will it take to get them to commit to us instead of any where else? A winning season? Our new facilities? Playing time opportunities? I want to do whatever it takes to get these guys to come help CBJ turn this program around.

If early playing time is available at their position at U.T., then they would be crazy to go to Bama, where you have to red shirt and then may get on the field as a senior, if you are lucky.....

Never understood why players like Jesse Scroggins or some of the other guys choose USC or Bama just to ride the bench or later transfer to a JUCO. Why not come to U.T. in the first place for playing time???

Because some are more worried about being on the winning team. Not much different than bandwagon fans.

I think playing time, facilities, etc are overrated. You go around major college football you can find excellent facilities and all that---Kids want to win championships---and they want to go where they have excellent relationships with coaches. Sports today is about the hired gun thing---doing anything to win. Butch is already proving himself to be an honorable guy. He's obviously a good salesman but not a greasy slimeball like Kiffin.

If we could just fuse Hugh Freeze and Nick Saban into one recruiting smoothie and have Butch Jones Drink it, we'd be in the ballpark.
