Recruiting Visitors

McClain is going to be a Signing Day commit for someone, and unfortunately it looks like we might be fighting it out with LSU. Well we know how that may turn out, solid offensive line vs. Reigning National Champs.

Undra Billingsley (alab commit) was in town a last second visit, going to stay with Alab

Bohanon (kentucky commit) had a good time, something to think about and will wait to hear next step from kentucky coaches if they can help him re-affirm his commit.

By the way if anyone wants to know Florida signed a top 3 (position) commit and has signed 7 commits in last 3 weeks ....so things are going well for the SEC at least

BECAUSE in all honesty UT recruiting has done nothing in 3 months so who cares??? and if you do tell me why ....so you can be disappointed that you can not close the DEAL?

One more thing Zach Brown the stud LB we thought we could sway from Maryland said he couldn't be swayed because he was firm....by the way a few hours ago he committed to NORTH CAROLINA

Our main competition isn't LSU. It's Auburn. He would be a Bammer if they would have taken his commitment a while back. It's funny. The fans on these boards say they only want true Volunteers, and yet, this kid is a huge Alabama fan and we are begging for him.

HV I know you are very informtional, and yes many people think he should stay in-state but can you give me the reasoning when 3 Auburn starters last year were true freshman, and AU doesnt offer for him?

and the truth be told I don't want him, but when options A- K are committing elsewhere I would rather take option L then no one at all

Scott was never interested in UT.

McClain has been option 1/2 the whole process. I can't really think of anyone off the top of my head that we have pursued more at the OL than him.

I don't know where you've seen that AU didn't offer him. They have been recruiting him the whole time. Alabama is the team with the offer/no offer situation with him. I've said from the start, though, that he would be tough to pull from instate but, if any team can, it will be us.

this whole thing begs the question, How can we be so high on a kid that bama didnt even offer?

What Tennstud said about McClain:

TI's closed forum has an interview with Bama commitment, Billingsley, who made a visit to UT but reaffirmed his Bama commitment. He said he only made the trip to UT because his mother insisted on it, that he hadn't told Saban about his UT visit before he went and he wished he had but everything is "cool" with Alabama. He was asked a question about Antoine McClain, ol; Billingsley said that McClain was going to UT if he stayed in the SEC.

But it was Tennstud so I would take it with a grain of salt. Would be good news for us though.

Yeah, Bama filled up their OL need pretty early. They have more recently offered him, but he feels slighted and won't go back to them.
