'26 Recruiting Rankings Tracker (13th/15th)

With the addition of Shabazz and presumably Wyatt next week, that’ll bring us to 263.77, which has been historically good for about 10-15th in the final class rankings.

And we still have Hiter, Keys, Gray, Blair, Hezekiah Harris and Selesi Moa on the board. If Blair, Wyatt, Shabazz commit, then one of Keys, Hiter or Gray, and one of Moa or Harris, we’lll be at 280.40. That would put us right in the 8-10th range. And that’s if we only hit on 2 of those 5 big targets. Hit on 3/5 and that puts us at 289 numerical, would be our best class on paper we’ve ever had and should be good for 5-7th.
Good points, I will add though the 1994 recruiting class was regarded by most services back then as the number 1 recruiting class. A few other classes in the 90’s were top 5. GBO!

For those curious, and just because I think it’s hilarious, Auburn has the #78 ranked recruiting class. For reference, App State is #53.

Auburn thought they hit a home run when hiring Freeze and instead got a guy that is literally killing their football program.

I'll eat my crow on that one for sure. I wanted him bad after Pruitt was fired after seeing what he did at Ole Miss and Liberty; but man has he been a dud at Auburn.

Never understood it. He didn’t do anything that impressive at Ole Miss besides live off the hype of beating Saban a couple times. 1 good 10 win season. 1 good season at Liberty.

Freeze seems like a good coach. But he seems too proud to want to do the work. Also, that AD is a train wreck.

I've not followed it that closely. I do think that AD is toxic.

My wife's family are Auburn grads. They sound like we did pre-Heup, so I can empathize.

Well we know his transgressions at Ole Miss. He’s also known to throw his players under the bus and blame everyone else. And he has the controversy regarding HS girls when he was at Briarcrest. There are other things. Just google Hugh Freeze controversies.

Agree on the AD tho. It’s a mess. So glad we have DW and Heup!

It was significantly better than anything we had seen in a long time so a lot of folks were drinking the koolaid. I was included in that. Thank goodness we dodge that one because he is heading toward Dooley territory.

It wasn’t better than what we had seen in a long time tho. That’s what I’m saying. It was Butch Jones but the fake religious version.

True. But he also injected some much needed life into both programs. Even though he's not exactly a star, I was impressed that he managed to develop Malik Willis and get him drafted at a small school like Liberty as well as take that same school to bowl games during his entire tenure there. I didn't even know what Liberty was before he coached there. But, then the allegations came out at Liberty as well....so he wasn't what we needed. He was the big name at the time though.

This is a tracker where we can go back and see historically where we are and where we've been for recruiting rankings, per the 247 Composite. I am also tracking On3 live rankings at the bottom. I update pretty regularly.

As of right now (07/13/2025), we are 13th on the 247 Composite and 15th on the On3 Consensus.

If recruits have made a significant jump in their average rating since they committed, I've updated their score in green.

Top uncommitted targets:

Savion Hiter
Darius Gray
Joel Wyatt
Craig Tutt - seems to be trending to OM
Breck Kolojay - Doesn't seem likely
Salesi Moa - Utah probably wins out, but I'd love to have him
Kamari Blair

Flip targets:

Tristan Keys - LSU
Hezekiah Harris - Aub
Tristan Givens - TAMU

Reading tea leaves I'd say Blair, Harris, and Gray are our most likely.
