CCM will make early stops to see both Austin Nichols and Robert Hubbs next week and will spend considerable time in Memphis. Also look for Georgia forward Quinton Stephens to get a visit from the Vols' head man.
Also look for some visitors to start showing up on campus next weekend. The most interesting nugget coming out of this week is that we expect Georgia post A.J. Davis to make an official visit next week (Sept. 8), which is a potentially intriguing development. Tennessee has recruited Davis, the son of former NBA player Antonio Davis, for some time but it's never been obvious that the Vols were 'all-in' on him. With him taking an official visit this early, it rather suggests that he would indeed be a 'take' if matters got that far. Davis also has offers from Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Auburn.
There's also a strong possibility that Tennessee could have some talented underclassmen on campus next weekend. Jaquel Richmond and Adonys Henriquez, both indicated that an early season visit to Knoxville was in the works.
As for what could be a big weekend on Sept. 15 (the Florida game) we're feeling more and more certain that Hubbs will be on campus for his official visit that weekend, but there's some uncertainty as to whether or not he'll be joined by Nichols. We definitely anticipate Nichols visiting this fall, but that Florida date isn't firm yet from our perspective.
