We didn’t whip their ass enough. I do enjoy life. I'm as chill as I've ever been after a loss. I expect this stuff. I have zero confidence this team will win more than 7 or 8 games. I'll enjoy those games. We also whipped their ass on defense. Also, special teams did what they should do. This was a good game, and I dare say we should be excited for what the season has left for us. Enjoy life, enjoy football!!
Defenses had caught up to what he was doing and adjusted. Most of it this year, as far as passing goes, is directly related to a young QB who isn't able to successfully read and execute the offense at this point. If we struggle to run the ball against any of our future opponents we are in trouble.Something is up with Heupels play calling. It isn’t all on Faizon either, coach has not been the same for a few seasons playcalling.
Wasn’t meant as anything towards your perspective, just thought this was a top notch game with a bunch of players that will get better. We didn’t whip their ass enough. I do enjoy life. I'm as chill as I've ever been after a loss. I expect this stuff. I have zero confidence this team will win more than 7 or 8 games. I'll enjoy those games.
When we ran the tunnel screen I was like okay there we go. Let’s do more. Nope.To not run a single halfback screen, or swing route vs a team that was just pushing the oline in your qb lap is so mind boggling.
Duane Morris In Space is a damn weapon.
So disappointed in the entire Oline room. They did not compete. They all folded.
And the coaches did nothing to help get them out of their own way
I agree he. Elarbee isn't getting it done, the o line is not very good.Their ends were eating our tackles' lunches. Expected that more on the right side. Didn't expect it from Sanders. The middle kept collapsing. And yes, Brandon held the ball too long. All can be and are true. The difference is the OL is made up of veterans and Brandon is a true freshman.
In big games, the OL continually looks like they haven't been coached up. Elarbee needs to be replaced, an opinion I've had for a while now. But I've also come to accept that Heupel isn't going to fire his "best friend".
Yep. Defenses adjusted to what we were doing. I hate to see him go away from it completely though. Different wrinkles makes you multiple, extremely hard to defend.I’ve mentioned in the past but Defenses play us differently now compared to his first two seasons.
If a defense is manned up on the outside it takes away the advantage of quick WR screens
Yeah but last year Heup added really good wrinkles he didn’t use in previous seasons. More bubbles screens, HB screens, doing those out of the pistol, quick routes over the middle like drags, slants, shorter ins and all of this worked extremely well last year with Aguilar. Idk if I can’t see it from what’s shown on the tv but I feel like we’re not seeing that quick stuff over the middle nearly as much. The couple times I have seen them, Faizon was stuck on the wrong receiver instead of seeing the others ones get open. Maybe that’s it. Faizon isn’t reading those as well and he’s not running them as much or idk. It just seems like that big leap in the offense we had last year has gone back to 2024 level simplicity and routes that are taking too long to develop and/or the qb not reading the field well. Idk I’m just brainstormingYep. Defenses adjusted to what we were doing. I hate to see him go away from it completely though. Different wrinkles makes you multiple, extremely hard to defend.
