'25 Recruiting Forum: Official Tennessee versus Florida Pre-game/Game Thread

4th down stop by the dline was textbook. Might have broken them.

Lucked out to pounce on our own fumble. That broke them if the 4th didn’t.

Then floridas defense gives up thinking the play was done and star thomas breaks for daylight. Anddd I feel like in other games we would have been screwed and called fumble out end zone.

I don’t remember the last time we had a big game or rivalry game where everything seemed to go our way.

I maintain when that run at 30 seconds broke free, up 28-0 and at the 10 yard line with 26 seconds, Florida was gassed and hopeless, we should have taken advantage and gone for endzone.

Heupel went up the gut. Twice. Not even off tackle.

I think he may have even intending to take it to locker room up 28-0 and was surprised they got down the field.

1) why was the FLA player celebrating after this play?
2) it was 3rd and 17 and Heupel ran the ball expecting to punt but Thomas broke tackles and made a great play running to the 1 yard line.

FL player thought he fumbled and it went through the end zone resulting in a touchback

Going to miss tyre west. Always playing maximum effort, comes up big in pivotal moments, become a great player this year. The model of stay where you are, earn the playing time, become a leader.
Me too. I remember him as a freshman, excited to be in the game, and clowning Vandy.

He already knew FL couldn’t score enough to catch up. Playing for FG. No mistakes. Outside run brings a hold into play. Backs up the FG attempt. Not good for us right now.

that tackle arion put on DJ early in the game... best form tackle we've had all season and an absolute monster hit while he was at it. that was a tone setter

that and the mike matthews sweep where he lowered the boom at the end of the run and never went down.

thats the kind of stuff i want to be seeing all year
I was watching the high lights of that play and helmet to helmet by number 14 from Florida should have been called(my opinion) luckily Matthews didn’t seem affected.

I wanted Boo gone when the original shtf...and said so loudly. I said I hoped he took the chance and did something great, but imo that he would be nothing but a massive headache that caused locker room issues all year...and he was.

I take zero pride in being right, I really hoped I was wrong, but in was obvious he was half-assing it AT BEST all year. I understand what Coach was trying to do and hoped would happen...but he got burned...we all got burned by that selfish lazy stupid little turd.

I wish him no luck...the talented jackass will probable go somewhere now and play with his hair on fire out of sorry selfish spite.

wonder if he will learn from his mistakes

Hard to say...the only way is if he humbles himself, but seeing the way he was obviously raised by the blithering fool idiot narcissist that raised him, and seeing how he has handled his life so far like someone that was raised by a blithering fool idiot narcissist....I highly doubt it.

But as long as there is breath, there is hope.

Duane morris is going to be good. Step right into the star thomas role.
The RB competiton will be interesting next season. Peyton Lewis has a lot of ability, but can he make that jump? He'll need to improve his vision like Jaylen Wright did. And I've been a big Duane Morris fan since he was in high school, before he committed to USC. I think he provides a different element to the room. Obviously, Bishop will be the returning workhorse, but the batrtle for #2 will be fun to watch.
