I'd pick AU to win by 26 (because scientific facts and all), but I don't know if they can score 26.

Mississippi State rushed for almost 400 yards on Auburn, including 195 from their QB on 28 carries. Obviously we don't have an OL as good as MSU but the blueprint is there for victory. If I'm Pruitt, I spend all week game planning with JG and a few others to play wildcat (JJ, Chandler, Banks, etc) and run the ball with play action down the field. Bring in a 6th and 7th OL and grind it out. Hell, McBride can run a bit, bring him in some. Whatever, just keep the ball on offense and move down field. MSU had the ball for 48 of the 60 minutes the other day. GRIND IT OUT!

Pruitt's going to take my advice and get a huge win on the road. He knows he can get a signature year one win this weekend. He's a gamer...27-17 Vols.

Southern Miss had the ball at midfield down 8 against Auburn with 5:40 to go in the 4Q before they threw a game deciding interception.

This will be a close game on Saturday. If the breaks go our way, we will win. If they don't, we won't.

The knowns:
- UT is coming off a bye and less 1 drive and 1 fumble the best half of football they have played against the best team they have played.
- AU is going into their 7th straight game and probably their worst performance of the season.
- Early kick off

The unknowns:
- What did UT get accomplished with the extra week
- How will AU respond essentially being eliminated in the west before they ever play UGA or Bama

How it shakes out:

If UT can find an early lead and turn AU back a couple of times, I think AU's resolve will be tested. AU needs to play a lot better than they have been to win the game the way they really should. I know the spread is close to 20 but AU is not playing 2O points better right now regardless of how bad UT has looked. Im normally pretty reserved (for good reason) with picks, but this weekend has fell together pretty well for it to finally happen.

I see all these high scores for Auburn and scratching my head since our D has really played well and Auburn's O has struggled about as much as ours has.
