Eric has been money on this story. Said it would be Friday or Saturday before he's on the field.

VN has plenty of guys who claim they know but few really have info.

Eric is in the know

I get the feeling Butch knew how the timeline would go this week. I found it odd that he didn't have assistants and players talk to media after practice until he talks Friday. That makes me think he had a good idea. We always have someone interviewed after practice whether it's Butch and players, just Butch, just players or just assistants. It typically one of those but not none until this wk

This is from Vol Colonel on Basilio (posted this morning). Struck me how wildly different it is from everything else being written on the subject.

"I personally think Von Pearson never plays another down here or maybe, just maybe he gets a one year suspension and returns next year. UT sure went out of their way to lay out in that article yesterday all that stuff that sounds to me like a civil trial's burden of easier proof to convict."

He immediately hedged in the next paragraph but still.

Eric versus Vol Colonel. I'm betting Eric's right.

I see Basillo and immediately think BS.

CAN NOT WAIT until he cracks the starting 5, don't care will.

Kid is NASTY!!

I know I've told this story before on here but it's the offseason.

I saw Jones play a couple of times in HS because he played for Oakland and my son played at Blackman.

Everytime I saw him, he always picked guys off the pile. I would just watch him and not the play. He is without doubt the dirtiest/nastiest player I've seen in some time. After each play he was standing over some poor kid.

If the play was ran away from him, defenders seem to let their guard down....MISTAKE. He would ear hole every kid not looking. Feet flying over their heads. He plays through the whistle.

I absolutely love the edge he brings.

Some guy in the FF wrote a really long post about calling his friend Gary for advice on the Von situation.

I'm not sure why it stuck so completely.

It was some random guy named Gary he talked to in the DA's office and within minutes the DA's office sent out the message clearing Von.

It was the timing that made it as funny as it is/was. Keeping up with it live, it was hilarious. And I'm 39.

Oh I missed that part where it was minutes before he was cleared. Makes much more sense now.

Part of me wants him on the field this year.

There are a lot of young lineman on our roster I like.

Out of Kerbs, Jackson, Mack, Jashon & Kendrick....

How would you rank them in order of most likely to lose their job to most secure?

1. Mack - Coleman is knocking loudly
2. Kendrick - still hasn't earned stability at his position. But he looks big and his teammates seem to trust in him.
3. Jackson - veteran. But I don't know how dominant he's proven to be. I'm hoping he takes a big step forward this year.
4. Kerbyson - coaches seem to love him. I would say Jackson is more likely to lose his spot and Kerb would slide in at guard if another tackle emerged.
5 Jashon - youth and valuable experience. Has what the coaches seem to look for. I don't see him going anywhere.

Von likely coming back and JJ switching positions is huge. We have 6-7 legit threats to rotate in. If someone gets a case of the drops, next man up.

Von
North
Pig
Malone
Smith
Croom
JJ
PW

By JJ you mean Johnson right? Because he'll play a hell of a lot more than Jennings in 2015.

How have I never seen that pic before? What's he doing? Banging his cane on the ground? Drawing a run play for Patterson in the dirt? Practicing his golf game? Trying to use the cane as a trademark the way Spurrier uses his visor?

I need to know what's going on there.
