Brandon has clear talent

The issue here is the failure to get a veteran transfer QB out of the portal

It is basically the only way to win in this era

No benefit to breaking in a true freshman

We will see what happens in the second half but this is really rough

Reminds me of Dobbs starting against Auburn in 2013

Hire a real play caller, real qb coach and let heup manage.

Also, heup isnt a qb guru, we haven’t seen qb progression at all since hooker

The Iowa Hawkeyes have scored more points in last 6 quarters than we have, let that sink in.

Before the "do they have a Freshman QB starting" crowd arrives. Iowa hasn't had a compentent QB since Chuck Long in 1985.

Agreed. Thanks to Knowles, that prolly wins this game. That's prolly good for a rushing TD (maybe 2) and a field goal.

This era of college football will need an asterisk next to it in the record books, if they manage to ever fix it

At the moment, I think we didn’t get the right mercenaries on offense this offeason

That’s it - leave coaching aside, tradition aside, pride of conference, pride of school - all of it

Our one and done mercenaries just aren’t cutting it this year - and other teams did better paying one year mercenaries

Maybe we will push the right buttons next offseason and be better.

It’s really weird - I feel oddly indifferent on the outcome of this game

my level of interest has been waning for a while

You have to be on hot seat when you have lost 5/6 SEC games at home...if we lose.

Only so much half off alcohol gimmicks will be tolerated.

How do boosters not jerk around Danny White and Heupel if Tennessee allows this out-manned and out-talented Auburn team with Tim Banks come in and win?

If you make that statement before this game started, the “Heupel is a Guru force would have mounted an all out assault on you” .

Yeah but in this era aren’t they partly to blame?

Maybe they should have paid $10 or $15 million for a veteran starting QB

Pair a veteran high performing QB with this team and we are a playoff team

…I don’t like that but is what it is right now

I have never really liked the offense we run and knew (luckily NIL became a thing) we would never produce elite offensive play (I have actual reasons though) maybe outside a RB… hopeful still I am wrong but I think it works in college and so I am cool with it
