That Air Force game was terrible.

Anyone else remember the week leading up to it they were flying jets over campus? I thought that was pretty cool.

I was at that AF game with my dad. We both repeatedly said Chavis didn't prepare for the triple option and scouted UF's offense instead. Game was nearly a disaster and Inky was lost for his career.

Justin Harrel also tore his bicep or pectoral muscle that game and should of been done for the season but decided to hold off on surgery until after the UF game....that dude was a warrior.

Yeah there was no way in hell it should have been that close. Air Force was 4-8 that year... I swear Fulmers teams were weirdly inconsistent.

Slowly starting to like Stoops after his recent feuds with Beamer and Cal.

Really hoping FSU can snag him this off-season on the second go-around if Norvell is fired.

If not - hopefully Ferentz retires soon so he can leave for Iowa.
Deion Sanders is rubber stamped as the next FSU HC.

On the Cover 3 podcast, one of Chip Patterson's locks for the year was Tennessee under 8 regular season wins. He chalked up Georiga, Alabama, and LSU as automatic Ls. He also said Pitt, Florida, and Kentucky are not easy wins. Tom Fornelli agreed but said it isn't a lock. Danny Kanell said he wasn't against the prediction or for the prediction. Bud Elliott had the same stance as Danny.

Air Force went 4-8 that year. This is not totally directed at you, but I tire of hearing the excuse of how hard it is to play an option QB and then see teams not as talented as us not struggle in the least.

Not sure what you are referring to but let's look at some notable P5 opponents since 2006:

2006- Air Force lost to Utah (8-5) 17-14
2007- Air Force beat Utah (9-4) 20-12
2007- Air Force beat TCU (8-5) 20-17
2007- Air Force beat Notre Dame 41-24
2008- Air Force lost to Utah (13-0) 30-23
2009- Air Force lost to Minnesota 20-13
2009- Air Force lost to TCU (12-1) 20-17
2009- Air Force lost to Utah (10-3) 23-16
2010- Air Force lost to Oklahoma (12-2) 27-24!
2010- Air Force lost to Utah (10-3) 28-23
2010- Air Force beat Ga Tech 14-7
2012- Air Force lost to Michigan (8-5) 31-25
2015- Air Force lost to Michigan State (12-2) 35-21
2017- Air Force lost to Michigan 29-13
2019- Air Force beat Colorado (Mel Tucker's team) 30-23
2019- Air Force beat Washington State (Leach's team) 31-21
2021- Air Force beat Louisville 31-28

Ironically, they don't seem to be playing as many P5 games in the regular season. But the point is....we are not the only high level P5 team that has struggled against the option in the last 15 years.

Even more evidence:

2006- Army lost to A&M 28-24; Army was 3-9 that year and A&M was 9-4
2006- Army beat Baylor 27-20
2008- Army lost to A&M 21-17; Army was 3-9 that year
2009- Army beat Vandy 16-13
2010- Army beat Duke 35-21
2011- Army beat Northwestern 21-14
2012- Army beat Boston College 34-31
2013- Army lost to Stanford (11-3) 34-20
2015- Army lost to Penn State 20-14
2016- Army beat WF 21-13
2017- Army beat Duke 21-16
2018- Army lost to Oklahoma (12-2) 28-21 in OT!
2018- Army beat Houston 70-14
2019- Army lost to Michigan (9-4) 24-21
2020- Army lost to Cincinnati (9-1) 24-10
2020- Army lost to WV 24-21
2021- Army lost to Wisconsin 20-14
2021- Army lost to WF 70-56

So, there is a LONG list of teams that have struggled against the option.

Well his name is Chip, so….

Why do you say he’s not a good coach? I know he would recruit lights out

What suggests he is a good coach? He has a bigger talent advantage against his opponents than Bama does, yet still doesn't produce like he should. He won't have that advantage at FSU.

Kids today don't care about Deion Sanders. He might be able to convince a few blue-chip DB's to come along, but he's not going to walk into Tallahassee and recruit with the big boys till he wins. JMO

I didn’t say he was a good coach, just wondering what makes him a bad coach. I don’t follow his team. I’d did see that they went 11-2 last year (8-0 in conference). That seems pretty good for that school. Idk though
I 100% disagree with kids these days not caring about who he is. I’d be willing to bet his first class at fsu will be top 10, if not better. Have you not seen who he’s talked into coming to Jackson freaking state?? 😂
