6 days of no rain.... and the monsoon just hit.
Im afraid those boys are going to be stuck in that cave. If they hadnt made enough progress with 6 dry days, they are not going to see that relief again till October
☹️
From why Ive read, it seems like the safest (though maybe the least satisfying) route may be to just keep a steady supply line going to the kids until a dryer season when it becomes feasible for the the kids to hike back out.6 days of no rain.... and the monsoon just hit.

Jordan did make a living off taking UPS drivers and accountants to the cup. 🧐🧐
The Lakers turned down a chance to get DeMarcus Cousins, reports The New York Times' Marc Stein.
Cousins agreed to a one-year, $5.3 million deal with the Warriors on Monday.
According to Stein, the Lakers, "after signing Rajon Rondo away from New Orleans and then losing Randle to the Pelicans, had an opportunity to sign Cousins at a one-year price point similar to the one that landed him in Golden State. But [Stein was] told the Lakers passed, clearing the way for the Warriors to infuriate the basketball public yet again."
According to ESPN, Davis was the lead recruiter in bringing former Laker Julius Randle in as a free agent to effectively replace Cousins.

In a series of posts on Twitter, Elon Musk said he is sending engineers from his Boring Co and SpaceX companies to see if they can help.

Rescuer in Thailand cave where boys trapped dies from lack of oxygen
Apparently with all the extra rescue workers in there it is draining oxygen faster than expected so they may have to just dive out. They are trying to get an oxygen and a telephone line in.
Looks like Elon Musk is trying to help now.
This is obviously far more important than my damaged stadium replica. Perspective, huh?
Nick...maybe you will know...but it seems to me boring or drilling to the cave might be an option. I think we're all coming to the conclusion swimming or diving has to be out of the question due to the limitations of the young boys and high water.
Is drilling/boring a practical option or is the location simply too deep within the mountainside?
Locating exactly where they are at underground from above is extremely difficult. Very difficult to access even if they could pinpoint where to drill.
There is concern that as rainy season progresses, their current chamber could also flood.
In the dry conditions, theyve been able to drain 1.5 cm per hour.
They have attempted to divert water flow in and drain water from within. Obviously many smart people working on this... just very difficult
There is talk of bringing charges against the coach if he makes it out, which would be sad, but people love to see heads roll
For whatever reason, I kind of thought they would be able to pinpoint their location from the surface. Don't know why I assumed that...
Yes, some people would rather lay blame than solve a problem. There will be time for that, but it's wasted energy and serves no purpose at this point.
"We can no longer wait for all conditions (to be ready) because circumstances are pressuring us," Thai SEAL commander Arpakorn Yookongkaew told a news conference. "We originally thought the boys can stay safe inside the cave for quite some time, but circumstances have changed. We have limited amount of time."
Why cant made up stories be specific? Have you never read a fiction book?
I fell for the Tyson hype just like everybody else my age did. Tyson destroyed a bunch of scared tomato cans that were beat before they ever stepped in the ring, and I don't buy the garbage that Tyson somehow forgot how to box becsuse Cus D'amato died..it's not rocket science.
When he finally ran into somebody that wasn't afraid of him and had some skill..he got destroyed...Buster Douglas absolutely destroyed him..."The baddest man on the planet" doesn't get destroyed by Buster "barely motivated for one fight in his life" Douglas..
Go watch the Tony Tucker fight on YT, when I watched TT give all he could handle, that was the first time I really realized he was not the greatest. If you want to understand what Ali would have done to Mike, then watch that fight.
Tony Tucker gave him all he could handle, and took everything he threw at him, and at the height of his so called prime...if you think he could beat Ali after watching that you are delusional. Tony Tucker wasn't even on the same planet skill wise as Muhammad Ali..He just wasnt scared.
Prime Ali would have decimated that little overhyped freak.
I am a huge Ali fan. Never missed him boxing when I was growing up.
My opinion of Tyson:
Cus was his General Neyland. Kept him focused and expected nothing short of Tysons very best.
After Cus passed away, Tyson went through the equivalent of kiffin/dooley/ butch trainers and managers: lots of flash with little substance (yes, I know that some good things happened under their watch, but nowhere near acceptable). Tyson needed a strong trainer/manager due to his background and cohort... he took the dooley/butch approach to training after Cus. It showed in his performance and all the trouble that he got into.
Would any of that have happened with Cus alive? Doubtful. Jmo :hi:

He also outlined an idea for a rescue operation, using pumps, battery packs and tubes.
He suggested inserting a one metre diameter nylon tube through the cave network and inflating it with air "like a bouncy castle". He said that this should create an air tunnel underwater against the cave roof, allowing people to walk through it and duck through the narrow sections.
As long as the air feed rate exceeds the leak rate, the tube will remain inflated, he said. Musk claimed that this would very little power compared to pumping out water faster than it enters the cave system.
The great risk for bringing them out is panic. Divers with no experience can experience panic attacks when they first start training, even in a safe tank. Asking 11-16 year old boys, some of who may not even know how to swim, to use scuba gear to come out of that cave is an extremely dangerous proposition. One article said it is a 5-hr trip, and that is likely the time clocked by the veteran divers. Trying to lead 12 inexperienced and terrified teenagers out might even double, or triple, the time it takes.
As we all know, panic attacks can affect your breathing, which is very dangerous at depth, as you have to fight the natural urge to swim straight up to the surface, which if you are at any sort of depth risks the bends; but in a submerged cave in the dark, I can't even imagine. I am sure they are likely allowing the boys to practice in the chamber they are in, and hopefully there are shallow waters in there so they can get a sense of being underwater in the dark, and get very familiar with the equipment that will be their life support system in the way out. But if they decide to bring them out that way, it will be a daunting task for those veteran divers to keep those kids calm during that exfil.
