On the flip side...why would he stay if Aguilar got another year? He would have gotten passed over for the starting job 2 years in a row. The coaches haven't helped him out at all by hardly getting him any live reps. Could easily see him leave.

Well Kudos to GMAC if he is willing to stand on sidelines and hold a clipboard for another year. There's not many talented QB's that are willing to do that in this modern day College Football. Especially with not having to sit out a seaon after transferring...

That’s an old narrative. It’s becoming markedly safer. Murders went down 47% in 2025. The city and state invested heavily in crime prevention in Memphis this budget year and will continue in the upcoming budget. The crime numbers are dropping and the roadway fatalities have dropped significantly as well. We’re putting more troopers on the interstates and roadway shootings have gone way down.

Still a long way to go, but it’s not what it was.

Yep, it’s where you are in Memphis that matters. I lived in Memphis over 20 years and never saw or was personally impacted by crime.

When you hear some talking about Memphis you would think you have to have an armed guard just to go to the grocery store. I enjoyed my time in Memphis. Loved listening to live bands and there’s plenty in Memphis..

He’s played 3 years of NCAA football, why doesn’t he deserve 4 years of NCAA football? NCAA doesn’t sanction Juco. They’ve got no reason to acknowledge years played there. Also for all those saying “it’s time to move on JA”. Seriously? Kid stands to make 2 mil plus if he gets another season.

There isn’t anyone on this board that would think “if i fight this and win i can play and get $2mil..but you know I’ve been in college long enough. I better go see if I can find a regular job that doesn’t pay a fraction of what i can make playing college football”

It's real easy to be ultra principled when it's other people's money, same with spending other people's money. Luxury principals are easy, things change when it's food on your table.
