It is a great experience. Anyone who is a sports fan needs to find a way to make it once.
Went seven times. Six Sundays and one Saturday from 2007-2013. One of the most memorable moments was sitting on #10 when a tremendous roar from #2 just kept building. Turned to my son and said "#2 just gave up a double Eagle." Sure enough, it was the first double Eagle/Albatross/whatever in Master's history for #2. When it popped on our board on #10, everyone cheered as well. The cheers were heard across the course as it popped up on each one. Really cool. Watson won it that year literally right in front of us on #10 as we were on the rope greenside.
I've only been to the Masters once - for a practice round - but it is incredible. Also, reading your post reminds me of when we used to volunteer at Doral - obviously not a major, but I have been to Ryder Cup on a weekend. I've seen Braves clinch division live, been to UT football games for 25 years - all have exciting energy, but there's nothing like the way excitement spreads through a golf course! Shocked me the first time I experienced it.Went seven times. Six Sundays and one Saturday from 2007-2013. I was there in '01 on Sunday when Tiger won the "Tiger Slam." Saw him hit 3 golf shots all day....... Impossible to get close enough to watch him.Went seven times.
