No...you're just frustrated like the rest of us, and that is what it sounds like. The $2MM buyout and $2MM salary told me lol.
My expectations may be too high. I'm in sales. You pay for production.
I do agree we need patience and hell CJH maybe be what we need to get back on stable footing. DW deserves the benefit of the doubt and our support. Hope I'm not coming off that I don't believe or understand that.
If we had gone all in for Elliott from the beginning, he would be our coach right now. He was already starting to assemble a staff and put out feelers. We waited and tried for Franklin first. Then many around Elliott convinced him to stay and wait. If we had made him an offer first and gone all in he would be our coach today. That's all speculation, but if it were true that Franklin "cost" us Elliott, Elliott was never coming here to begin with
I hope JH works out, but if we're gonna talk about what WE wanted from a head coach, I wanted a proven leader who would bring in coordinators that knew what they were doing. We kept talking about a "CEO Type". Hopefully JH becomes that, but I don't think that's what he has been known as thus far in his short career.Josh Heupel damn near averages a top 20 offense for his whole career...so this is not the same. I am glad to have Josh Heupel..we wanted offense and a QB guy...well he is one of the very best.
It tells you to go get the Tulsa DC or Coastals DC. Both run aggressive defenses and have done it successfully. Both would come in a heart beat. Baker would be a terrible hire.It makes perfect sense actually. Nobody really wants the job. I mean look at the offensive staff. Heupel had to fill it with UCF guys. What does that tell you?
