I usually sit back read and keep my mouth shut, but I am done with that. I am 40 today. I have been a Vol fan my entire life. We have the best AD and head Coach that we have had in awhile. Compare their resumes with the previous people in their positions.
Feel any different? I'm 2 months behind you.

He was a local sports anchor is all I remember. I didn't mind his hire until the first game I heard a few years into his tenure and I was like, "this guy is messing up everything!" My favorite was HE COMPLETES A DEEP OUT ROUTE FOR A 3 YARD GAIN." He's so bad about painting a picture and describing what's happening.
Even worse he says the stuff about the deep out, then jabbers for a while, and then it comes out that was a three yard gain after the next play which was an incompletion

Still watching the UCF games. We have so much more speed than them on offense. It’s going to be so much fun watching Hyatt, Jones and others in this offense. We’re gonna score. A lot.

I think everyone’s forgotten about this name: Wideman

I almost have. This guy will be a beast next year.

One player I keep thinking about, especially with Gray leaving is Dee Beckwith. Does Huepel leave him at RB? If so I have to think he emerges as one of our top 2 or 3 RBs. If not the bellcow. I could also also see him shifting over to more of a pass catching role. He might be pretty nice at TE too. I can't help but think he's a guy that could get priority touches. He looked bursty and powerful the few times we saw him with the ball this year. I don't even want to type out the name of the player he reminded me of right off the bat because it's way too early to be that optimistic. He's probably not that. But maybe a little Jalen Hurd-like? What do y'all think about that comparison? Am I too eager?

We won 3 games this past season. We nuked our Athletic department, torpedoed the football staff, and confessed to almost every heinous crime in the history of humanity (there’s a few remaining we haven’t claimed ownership of yet – but it’s not over at the moment, so who knows). Understandably and for a host of reasons a number of some of the better mercenaries we bring in to run down the field for us are jumping for the lifeboats. Many of those that remain might not be able to find a better roster spot with anyone else plus since we’re losing so many contributors, opportunity is nowhere.

I think 5-7 this year and maybe next year is fine. If we raise expectations without accounting for reality we set our new hires up to be labeled failures. Not only is that unfair, it’s counterproductive to supporting the program. It’s selfish. We need expectations set at a level that we can either meet or exceed. Under promise – Over deliver.

The AD and the Coach are going to have to sell football tickets. They’re in a catch-22 position. I’m not a seller, I’m a buyer. I want to know what I’m buying and I don’t care about the sales pitch. Save it. We’re a clunker not a Bugatti. Let’s take the clunker which is all that’s available to us right now, and clean it up a bit, see what is worth holding on to and what needs to go to the junk yard, either build, machine, or procure some new parts, and see if we can get this baby on the road. We’ll worry about how fast she might be able to go after we figure out what all additional work we will need to do on her. Right now let’s focus on the basics. Anyone got any spare tires? Retreads will do. Thank you. jmo.

There’s a difference between “publicly garnering support for a position” (which is completely fine) and intentionally influencing market activity in order to create losses for a stated third party. If you believe a position has value, hype it. Go for it. If you think a company is shaky, go short and tell the world.

When you intentionally begin conspiring with multiple other parties in order to intentionally inflict losses on another investor’s position, that’s where it gets dicey.
The purpose was to make money. Enjoying screwing over the hedge funds is a bonus, not the main intent.

Bone, it's not going to look like anything close to what we have to have here. Yes, the game is changing as far as putting points on the board, offense; but, DL is what has made the SEC far superior to all others. The DL has won the SEC many National Championships.

DL recruiting and play will have to be monumentally better for Heupel, no matter how many points he can score. It will be if he hires Garner. If he doesnt...this isn't like the HC search, Garner is there to have...im going to be disappointed and text my bros about it, and cuss the walls around me.
Is Garner considered a good DL coach? I always heard he was a recruiting specialist.

My neighbor made some of the parts on them. I nerd out so hard over that ish. Planning on driving down for one of the test launches this year. Only about 6 hours away.

You should watch The Expanse. Fun sci-fi show. Can’t wait till we colonize Mars with Commander Musk.

Does SpaceX operate out of TX? I’m thinking to switch careers.
I honestly don't know what all exactly they do there yet, but my brother says they will be moving some operations there in the future and he wants to go. @Sleegro lives in Austin and said his neighbor has something to do with them. He may know more about what they do there now than I do.

Also, the Bill Ackman saga was identical to this and played out on national television, and no one even suggested anything about market manipulation. There is no legitimate way anyone could claim this is manipulation when the SEC had zero problem with one hedge fund manager saying on national television that he was intentionally ruining a rival by doing this exact same thing. At least some of the redditors had been trying to take GME "to the moon!!!" for years prior to this.

Why can't people just be happy that we have a coach that wants to be here? We have an AD that's top 5 in the country that wants to be here. Let them work and do their thing. Appreciate Tee and Jay for their contributions as players but let them go as coaches. Its not the same thing. DW and CJH didn't have to come here. This place is a dumpster 🔥. As a fan base we all have a choice. We can continue to be part of the problem or be part of the solution. Quit crying like a bunch of kids!!!!
