Tony B just said Steele has been calling around over the last couple days gaging interest on people joining his staff. I don't like where this is going if true
Oh boy. I wouldn’t necessarily mind if he has an exceptional staff and let them do their jobs though. I am a little nervous by that statement though.

If saving 14 million dollars of Pruitt's buyout convinces some boosters to use that money to pay big boy dollars for a proven coach, so be it.

I'm not as worried about the NCAA as some others are. I think having an incompetent staff is much worse than any kind of sanctions we could expect.

We aren’t saving 14 million dollars. Maybe some but not that much.

Our roster will be crippled by transfers.

Too late in the game for a new coach (that we don’t even have lined up) to recruit meaningful transfers or HS kids.

Possible sanctions will keep us from signing the elite in state class for ‘22.

All to push out a coach who deserved another year and was making all the right changes and an athletic director who has done the most for this university since Neyland himself.

It’s the Tennessee way.
