Yes. Los Feliz area and Echo park is amazing. Koreatown is pretty cool and a lot cheaper. North Hollywood is a bit further out but much cheaper as well. It's also really hot up there. Prepare to pay way too much in taxes and gas and have absolutely terrible traffic though.
