The idea that the NBA is watered-down now is garbage. If you put the 1992 Dream Team together with the players available then and today, you'd have Jordan, Magic, Bird, and then the rest of the team would be modern guys.

Players in the NBA are better now, across the board, than they've ever been. The idea that the game is dominated by small guards and there are no true centers is bunk as well. On average the players now are bigger and heavier than they've ever been. The difference now is that guys who are 6'10" or over can shoot.

OK - I watched the Pruitt coaching clinic video. He speaks the language of players and coaches fluently. With their backgrounds together it is obvious the Ansley understands and speaks the same language. However, there should be an official warning for all other viewers/listeners. It's like a deep south Rainman type deal. Aight, K? Where was that pointer pointing?

We are going to have an arse kicking D - period. Good gosh this feels good. Makes my old blood feel young again.

The funny thing is Chaney has a similar effect on O. Different way of communicating. You will need to clean your ears out afterwards and try not to laugh when he goes there on somebody or something with his zingers. But when he gets a player's focus and goes all analytical it is amazing to watch. They get what he is giving.

Which is why Pruitt went so hard after him - paid him what he wanted and brought him to Knoxville and handed him the offense's keys. As brilliant as Pruitt is, he knows how miserable he was going against Chaney. Same with Chaney. When the QB issue is resolved, we are also going to have an arse kicking O.

Random - just quit this James versus Jordan comparison. Those of us who have lived through both eras of the NBA, plus the ones in between know. Don't make it an age versus age thing. If you pitted a MJ led team versus a LJ led team and they had the same talent on each roster - MJ's would win at least 7 of 10 and possibly more. If MJ played today he would still be a strong version of MJ. If LJ played in MJ's era he would be intimidated to death. The officiating differences would have killed his flopping skillset.

MJ was a honey badger. Honey Badger don't care.
